POSTPONED => DAJ Kanto Film night "Unions and US Labour Policy"
WE WILL POSTPONED THE Kanto Chapter film night focused on "Unions and US Labor Policy"
▪Film Title: Harlan County USA
▪Documentary about labor tension in the coal-mining industry, directed by Barbara Kopple
▪After the coal miners at the Brookside Mine join a union, the owners refuse the labor contract. Once the miners start to strike, the owners of the mine respond by hiring scabs to fill the jobs with the regular employees.
▪Post film discussion will focus on unions and labour rights in the US today
- Note: Drinks with covers and non messy snacks can be brought to the site but not meals
- Free! - but 500yen donation requested for event space requested
