Service First: Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin

Join the Global Women's Caucus, the Global Veterans and Military Families Caucus, and the Michigan State Team as we welcome Congresswoman Slotkin to talk about her new district, her life of service and her plans for her constituents and our country.

About Congresswoman Slotkin:
Elected to the MI - 8th District in 2018, Rep. Slotkin served as a CIA analyst during the war in Iraq- three tours!  She also served in the CIA and Department of Defense, held national security roles under Presidents Bush and Obama, and was acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs (dealing with ISIS and Russia) until 2017.

Her first priority is service to her constituents. She supports: lower drug prices,  reproductive freedom, our veterans, critical supply chains, and getting corporate money out of politics. She is ranked as the most bipartisan member of Michigan’s congressional delegation and the 9th-most bipartisan member of the entire U.S. House.

7th District Information: Thanks to the new independent citizen-led redistricting, the 7th District encompasses Ingham and Livingston Counties, and adds Clinton County, Shiawassee County, most of Eaton County and parts of Oakland and Genesee Counties.
