Next Sunday, September 21st, we'll have a picnic in honor of the signing of the U.S. Constitution in 1787. It's a celebration of rule of law, democracy, and most importantly We the People.
Constitution Day celebrates that every voice matters and that our freedoms are protected only through civic participation and community. We honor the enduring principles that guide democracy: the rule of law, the balance of powers, and the idea that government exists to serve its people.
From 2PM, we'll meet at the same picnic spot as Juneteenth and Cinco de Mayo-- north of Demachi Bridge, on the west side of the Kamo River. In the event of rain, we will relocate under the nearby Aoi Bridge.
This event is open to everyone, regardless of nationality or opinion. We'll provide the music, picnic spot, and chill vibes. Bring something you'd like to share. Send me a message if you have any questions!
