DACH Geneva Book Club - June 2023
Our June 2023 book is Both/And: A Life in Many Worlds by Huma Abedin. From Amazon:
The daughter of Indian and Pakistani intellectuals and advocates, Abedin grew up in the United States and Saudi Arabia and traveled widely. Both/And grapples with family, legacy, identity, faith, marriage, motherhood—and work—with wisdom, sophistication, grace, and clarity.
Please join us even if you haven't read the book!
Additional information about this (and future) event(s) can be found here.
June's meeting will take place on Zoom and in-person in Geneva; RSVP or send an email to Sam to receive the meeting details. If you aren't already on the Geneva Book Club mailing list, you can send an email to Sam letting him know you'd like to be added.

Happy Hike: Frick Cherry Trail-Basel and Zurich!
The Zürich and Basel chapters are meeting at our halfway point for a hike amongst the cherry trees! This is an easy 4km walk that is family and stroller friendly. A great way to spend Swiss Father's Day! We will have time for a picnic under the trees, and hopefully, we'll be able to snack on some cherries straight from the source! More serious hikers can add a 6km loop toward the end of our trail!
Getting there:
If driving, we will meet you at the trailhead at 10:15.
If coming by train from Zürich, we'll be taking the 9:10am IR 36 toward Basel SBB. Get off at Frick and transfer to Bus 136 at 10:05am. Ride to Gipf Oberfrick and follow the signs for the Chriesiwäg. If the bus is too full, the trailhead is an 18 minute walk from the Frick station.
If coming by train from Basel, we'll be taking the 9:20am S1 toward Frick. Get off at Frick and transfer to Bus 136 at 10:05am. Ride to Gipf Oberfrick and follow the signs for the Chriesiwäg. If the bus is too full, the trailhead is an 18 minute walk from the Frick station.
