Another way to help defend our rights is to vote for Democrats in the 2022 Midterm elections. Register to vote and request your absentee ballot at https://www.votefromabroad.org/. Ask for your ballot to be sent to you by email.

We're building a grassroots organization of U.S. Democrats all over Germany. We were able to grow and build a strong volunteer base in 2020, but there is still room to grow. We will need to turn out in 2024 and sustain the momentum necessary to protect and improve our democracy. Democrats Abroad is an organization run entirely by volunteers, and the time you give, in any amount, contributes to meaningful progress. Elections were held for both of Georgia’s US Senate seats on November 3, 2020. Both of these races are going to Runoff elections, to be held on January 5, 2021, as no candidate received at least 50% of the vote. Democrats need to win both of these seats to have a majority in the Senate so we can have progress in America and the world.

The two races are:

• US Senate: Jon Ossoff (Democrat) versus David Perdue (Republican)

• US Senate Special: Raphael Warnock (Democrat) versus Kelly Loeffler (Republican)

Democrats Abroad Germany is making sure each and every U.S. citizen in Germany participates in the presidential election. We'll be in 19 locations around Germany on 10 October helping Americans get ready to vote. Drop by to meet Democrats Abroad.

If you can't drop by in person, it is not too late to request a ballot from home. Register to vote and request your absentee ballot 📝 All details can be found at www.democratsabroad.org/vote_from_germany.

Step number one: Visit www.votefromabroad.org to fill out your FPCA absentee ballot request — it only takes 5-10 minutes! If you’re not registered to vote, the FPCA also serves as a voter registration form. Given the uncertainty surrounding the United States Postal Service (USPS), we strongly encourage you to request that your absentee ballot is sent to you via email.

If you need help or have a question about voting, get LIVE 1-on-1 voter assistance any Sunday (24hrs), Tuesday, Thursday & Friday (6 pm-10 pm), and Saturday (8 am-4 pm) through November CEST to talk to a volunteer LIVE on Zoom about questions you have about voting from abroad. There are an estimated 120,000 U.S. citizens living in Germany, all of whom we want to remind to request their absentee ballots (request yours here). During these times of social distancing, this has become a more challenging task, but there is an easy way for you to help us reach voters: Get some Democrats Abroad and Vote From Abroad merchandise!

How is it done on Zoom? You'll come into the main room and be paired 1:1 with a volunteer into a breakout room to ensure privacy and that you can get all your questions answered. It couldn't be easier. 

More information: The easiest way to request your ballot is at VoteFromAbroad.org. It takes just a few minutes to complete and send in your form to the US state where you last lived. The website will guide you step by step. In most cases it’s pretty simple. But if you’re new to voting abroad, or if you haven’t done it in a while, you may have additional questions. That’s why we’ll be here every Sunday until election day to help.
