Long-Read Discussion Group: Have the Past 10 Years Been Uniquely Stupid?

Phonebanking Training - May 27
Phonebanking is one of the most effective ways that we use to reach out to voters to make sure that they are registered to vote and have requested their ballots. We have to do all that we can to make sure that WE WIN in November! To help us get out the vote, we are calling members in Germany to remind them to request their ballots for November. For this important endeavor, we need YOUR help.
If you have never participating in phonebanking, then join our Phonebanking Coordinator for this training session.
Learn or review the why, how, where and when of phonebanking. We'll explain the sign-up system, explore CallHub and do a few demo calls.

Democrats Abroad Oktoberfest Extravaganza 2022
What started out 14 years ago as a Democrats Abroad “FUN-draiser” is now one of DA’s premier events worldwide. Come to Munich’s Oktoberfest, with 100 Democrats from all around the world, in one of the most traditional beer tents - and finally in-person after two years!
Join us on Sunday, October 2, 2022 in Munich, Germany for the Annual Democrats Abroad Oktoberfest Extravaganza! This is a fun event for DA members from around Germany and Europe to come together and have a good time.
We have reservations in the Festhalle Schottenhamel for tables in the "Gallerie", specifically an area upstairs so that we are above the main crowd, from 11am until 2:15pm.
Get your tickets now and enjoy an early bird special pricing. Until July 31st, tickets are $70. Starting on August 1st, ticket prices will increase to $85. We are also offering 10 student-priced tickets for $60.
Each ticket includes:
- A reserved seat in the “Gallerie”
- A half roasted chicken (there are vegetarian options available)
- Two liters of Spaten beer (there are other beverage options, too)
- A 10-euro coupon for other purchases
To reserve your tickets, please RSVP and send in your donation.
In addition to the Oktoberfest celebration on Sunday, we are working to plan a get-together on Saturday October 1. More information to come.
Interested in a homestay in Munich or hosting a DA visitor? Fill out the appropriate Google form. We’ll do our best to match guests with a wonderful host. We cannot guarantee you will be assigned a homestay. This is dependent on volunteer sign-up.

Caucuses in Conversation: DAG Virtual Round Table - Defending Democracy

In order to build our caucus communities & connect to our members at large have worked together to develop a program designed to provide a forum for members to meet at 'the table' and discuss topics that impact us all -from healthcare, to Voter
Suppression, to Democracy itself – we will be hitting topics that meet the moment!
Our first event is scheduled for Wednesday, June 1 st at 7PM CET – our inaugural topic : Democracy.
What is your personal view and connection to democracy? Recognize autocracy before it is too
late. What do you want? What don’t you want? How do all of the caucuses relate to the
fundamental problem that democracy is in danger?
Please, RSVP to attend.
