Join Democrats Abroad for a "Take Back Congress" Global Town Hall (by video conference) on Saturday, October 1, beginning at 1:30 PM EDT (Washington, DC time) with a special phone-banking tutorial for those who join early at 1 PM EDT. This is the third in the series of 2016 Global Town Halls with Democrats Abroad. We will be hearing from - and asking questions of -- Democratic candidates for the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives - and we will be hearing about our efforts to help Take Back Congress.
We will hear directly from congressional candidates running to replace Republican incumbents about how their campaigns are going and how the election looks in their state - each one of them a battleground in both the Presidential and Congressional races.
Here's the lineup for the Town Hall as it stands. You can check back here for updates on speakers and other information and to RSVP. (This discussion is off the record and not open to the press)
Katie McGinty, the Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate from Pennsylvania will be joining us to talk about the 2016 election and answer questions from participants. She is in a neck-and-neck race with ultra-conservative Pat Toomey in a must-in battleground state. (Unfortunately CANCELLED)
Rep. Carol Shea-Porter, the Democratic candidate for New Hampshire's 1st Congressional District - perhaps the "swingiest" district in the country as it has changed hands three times in the past 8 years. She's looking to take back her seat - and Congress in a key battleground state.
Lt. Gov. Patty Judge, the Democratic candidate for Senate in Iowa, is running against incumbent Charles Grassley, familiar to Americans abroad as the author of the 2005 legislation that reduced tax benefits for overseas Americans.
Sen. Cory Booker, the Senator from New Jersey will also join us (to be confirmed) to discuss the 2016 elections and Democratic efforts to take back Congress. Senator Booker is an old friend of Democrats Abroad - having studied abroad and as a virtual guest speaker at our 2015 Global Meeting.

Sen. Patty Murray - the four-term Democratic incumbent who is running for re-election in Washington state - a must-win state for Democrats.
Deborah Ross - the Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate in North Carolina.
AND: A special video by our next Vice President, Tim Kaine, made especially for Americans abroad. If you haven't seen it, you will want to tune in.
