Launch of the DAA Virtual Book Club

Please Join us for the launch of DAA's Virtual Book Club on Saturday 5 April at Noon (AEDT) (11AM in QLD, 11:30AM in SA, 10:30AM in NT, and 9AM in WA)!

The book for the first session is described below.  It is available via Audible and Kindle and through many libraries.

Kate from NSW will lead us in a discussion of this particular book, as well as discussion of what this DAA Virtual Book Club community will look like and suggestions for the next book.  It is your Club, and we welcome all input.  Please RSVP to obtain the meeting link.  Don't forget to secure a copy of the book!

The book for the first meeting is How to Stay Sane in an Age of Division (2020, 90 pages), by Elif Shafak.   "In this powerful, uplifting plea for conscious optimism, Booker Prize-nominated novelist and activist Elif Shafak draws on her own memories and delves into the power of stories to bring us together. In the process, she reveals how listening to each other can nurture democracy, empathy and our faith in a kinder and wiser future.”
