Tuesday, 12 January (1800-1930) –Amerikahaus Co-sponsored Livestream Event – “U.S.-European Relations in Doldrums - A Biden Administration as New Hope” with Prof. Lars P Feld, Lehrstuhl für Wirtschaftspolitik und Ordnungsökonomik an der Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg, and Prof Joseph E. Stiglitz, 2001 Nobel Prize Winner in Economics and currently head of the "Committee on Global Thought" at Columbia University.

Per the post-election polls, despite the pandemic, protest marches and presidential scandals, the economy was the most important factor in the U.S. election in November. This discussion will focus on how one can expect President Biden to "Build Back Better" for a sustainable, long-term reconstruction of the US economy. The event is being held in English.
