On the 19th day of June, 1865, 250,000 slaves in the state

of Texas finally found out they were free!

Emancipation Proclamation

On January 1, 1863, the Emancipation Proclamation issued by President Abraham Lincoln declared that all

enslaved people in Confederate states were free.

We’ll have some snacks, the AWC bar will be open and you can BYOB.
