You are warmly invited to the September meeting of the GWC Books Abroad feminist reading group!
Our next pick is “Good and Mad: The Revolutionary Power of Women's Anger” by Rebecca Traister. A survey of the history of women’s political rage, the book tells the story of the significance of women’s anger and the overlooked ways it has influenced women’s slow rise to political power.
Rebecca Traister is a columnist at New York Magazine and a contributing editor at Elle who writes about women and politics.
Called “Urgent, enlightened…realistic and compelling” by the Washington Post, this work is especially timely in the wake of Kamala Harris becoming the first Black woman on the Democratic ticket for Vice President four years after Hillary Clinton's historic presidential defeat.
We look forward to another excellent discussion on Sunday, September 20, 2020, at 2pm CET on Zoom. This is an online event. Please RSVP to receive the connection information.
