Treasurer, Barcelona Chapter
I cut my teeth as a social and political activist in the early days of the Women’s Movement working on the interface where politics meets psychology, presenting my work on women and the internalization of oppression to the first International Conference on Feminist Therapy in London. My work with Joanna Macy on activism and despair spearheaded projects to politically empower thousands of people during the nuclear freeze movement of the 1980’s, when I was a charter member of Psychotherapists for Social Responsibility in San Francisco.
During the 1990’s I worked as a capital campaign consultant for the Unitarian Universalist Association, helping churches to develop their fundraising campaigns.I actually like asking people for money: It empowers the giver as well as the receiver.
Since moving to Europe, I have served on the ExCom of DA Hungary from 2012-2014, and most recently as Vice Chair of DA Barcelona from 2019 to the present. I am now eager to contribute her fun/draising expertise to DA to attract new members and make sure we have the resources to take the Senate by storm in the midterms.
