Join us for our first in-person phonebanking session of the year on Sunday, April 21st from 1-3pm at the Democracy International e.V. office. The intention of this gathering is to usher you into phonebanking feeling secure and confident. You'll meet your fellow volunteers, make some calls (the campaigns will be up and running by then), compare notes, and have any questions you might have answered by Nina and Chris, your experienced chapter phonebanking coordinators. Please be sure to bring a laptop and a headset/headphones.
IMPORTANT: before you can start making calls, you need to participate in a training and take a short quiz. Get all the information you need to become an expert phonebanker here: https://www.democratsabroad.org/phonebanking_training
Even if you don't have time to complete the training before our phonebanking event, please feel free to join us! You can complete the training at the event. Plus, there is still a lot you can learn by attending and it'll be a great way to meet with other chapter members.

TRUMP BACK IN THE WHITE HOUSE -- MAGA MAJORITY IN CONGRESS? This nightmare scenario is entirely possible … BUT NOT IF WE CAN HELP IT! We are the Phonebankers of Democrats Abroad, and if you really want to do something concrete to prevent this nightmare from happening, join us to get out the overseas vote! There are hundreds of thousands of Democrats Abroad members, a force that when mobilized has been the margin of victory in recent elections. But it is NOT a foregone conclusion that those members will actually go through the bother of requesting their ballots and mailing them in. And that’s where we come in! There is no more effective way to motivate our members to request their ballots than phonebanking. Statistics show that people that have been contacted personally are 70% more likely to vote than those we are unable to reach. In 2020, we made 600,000 calls, many to members who needed only some basic information to get started, and others for whom a call from a phonebanker was just the nudge they needed to get them to act. The great thing about phonebanking is you only need a laptop and headset (optional), you can do it from anywhere (as long as there’s WLAN), and whenever it fits into your schedule!
