“Democrats Abroad Global Presidential Primary Preliminary Results”

March 14, 2024, Amsterdam, Netherlands U.S. voters living abroad have cast their ballots in the Democrats Abroad Global Presidential Primary at locations worldwide. Starting on Super Tuesday, March 5th, and running until March 12th, Democrats Abroad ran nearly 100 voting centers in 45 countries worldwide.

Results are being tabulated, and final results will be available on March 19th.

With 90% of ballots counted, preliminary results show President Joseph R. Biden with 80% of the vote, Marianne Williamson with 6.7%, and 13.2% “Uncommitted.”

“It’s been an extraordinary week of voting in person at voting centers in 45 countries around the world,” explained Martha McDevitt-Pugh, International Chair, Democrats Abroad. "Americans abroad have had a unique opportunity to vote in person or remotely and celebrate participation in the democratic process.”

The results of the Global Presidential Primary will determine the number of delegates that each presidential candidate will receive from Democrats Abroad at the Democratic National Convention this August, thus helping determine the Democratic presidential nominee for the 2024 elections. Democrats Abroad sends 21 delegates to the Convention, 13 of which are pledged delegates.
