The DA Aix-Marseille Chapter and the DA France Diversity Caucus are pleased to present a special screening and discussion of the award-winning documentary film THE LONG SHADOW to our members, with a Q&A with very special guest, THE LONG SHADOW director Frances Causey.

The Long Shadow follows former CNN Senior Producer, TED contributor, and Emmy-Award winning Director Frances Causey and Producer Sally Holst as they trace their family legacy of white privilege, placing it in the context of the history of anti-black racism in the United States that began with slavery and continues to impact our society today. The Long Shadow reached over 90% of the US with its National PBS Broadcast and continues to be shared by hundreds of Universities, congregations, community groups, nonprofits, and equity-driven organizations across the country.

TO WATCH THE FILM IN-PERSON: Join us on Saturday, April 23 at 3:30 CET in Aix en Provence at the IAU Centre d’Etudes Françaises, 2bis rue du Bon Pasteur, Aix-en-Provence 13100. The Q&A discussion with Director Frances Causey will take place immediately following the film at 5PM. Director Causey will be joining us via Zoom.
