About our Speaker: Carmelan Polce has been a Democrats Abroad member since 2001. She has held leadership positions at the chapter, country committee, regional and global levels of DA. In 2011 she became a member of the global Task Force advocating for reforms to US tax laws and regulations that discriminate against Americans abroad and has chaired the team for several years. Her career background is in finance, banking and, more recently, social justice, advocating especially for corporate accountability from mining, oil and gas companies. Although she is in the process of moving from a work assignment in Singapore to a work assignment in New York City, her forever home is in Sydney, Australia.
