    Cuenca Voter Registration Extended for July

    Cuenca Location for Vote from abroad registration has been extended through July. 

    As states no longer require registration requests via mail, deadlines can be safely extended, at least through July. A Democrats Abroad representative will be at The (new) Vegetable Bar each Wednesday throughout July to personally help you:

    -Request your Absentee ballot from you state.
    -Print your request for signature.
    -Return your absentee ballot request to your local election office.
    -Resolve any voter registration issues you may be experiencing. 

    For those unable to register at the Vegetable Bar, individual registration is also available by appointment. To schedule, email:

    Annual General Meeting and Elections

            Annual General Meeting and Elections

               Wednesday May 31, 2017 5:00 p.m.

               The Vegetable Bar 3 de Noviembre y Jacaranda, Cuenca, Ecuador

    We would like to invite all members of Democrats Abroad Ecuador to join us for our Annual General Meeting to be held on May 31st. As required by International and Country Committee By-Laws we are providing you with 30 days notification of this meeting.

    This will be an excellent opportunity to come together with other members of Democrats Abroad, socialize, and be updated on the latest activities of DA.

    During the course of the Annual General Meeting, we will also be conducting election of officers to the Ecuador Executive Committee.


    To vote in this election, you must be a Member of Democrats Abroad Ecuador no later than May 17th if voting via absentee ballot, or by May 30th if voting in person. To join Democrats Abroad, visit

    At this time, our membership will elect 9 members of the Country Executive Committee: Chair, Executive Vice-Chair, Vice-Chair for Outreach, Vice-Chair for Membership Records Management and Voter Registration, Secretary, Treasurer, Country Counsel, and 3 Members-at-Large. Elected officers serve two year terms.

    DA Country Committees all over the world are holding their Annual General Membership meetings and elections during the first 6 months of 2017.

    We currently have nominations for the 8 of the 9 positions. All the current members of the Executive Committee are running for re-election and the two open positions are Country Counsel and Vice Chair of Outreach. If you are interested in serving, please contact us for job descriptions.

    If you would like to nominate either yourself or someone else for elected office, please download the Nominations Form, fill it out, and return it to the Elections Committee by e-mail at no later than Sunday, May 14th.

    A ballot, as well as a link to the Candidates’ Nomination forms will be emailed to you on Monday, May 15th by the Elections Committee.  If you are unable to attend the meeting but would like to vote, you may email your ballot back to us by Tuesday, May 30.
