DA Italy Annual General Meeting and Country Officer Elections
In light of the very latest and confirmed information we have received on the increasingly acute security scenario for Rome this Saturday and guided by the principle of prudence regarding our members’ safety and wellbeing, we have taken the decision to cancel the in-person side of our gathering but will nevertheless meet online from 5:30-7pm (with voting solely online).
The nature of the demonstrations taking place in the vicinity of our planned meeting venue leads to concerns that they might not turn out to be peaceful, and we also have confirmed notice that public transports will be disrupted throughout the city.
In line with our bylaws (Section 7.1) we are reverting to the online only part of meeting,which will be held from 5:30-7pm AND with voting solely online), thus mitigating inconvenience to those who had already committed to participating in the AGM either online or in person.
