I grew up in Detroit, Michigan before moving at age 32 to Geneva, Switzerland in 2012. It was quite a culture shock to see the US from the outside and how the rest of the world saw it. This really opened my eyes to how much there was to do, and at stake for the US and the world if we didn't start to fix our politics. This prompted me to get involved with Democrats Abroad and volunteer my time in any way I could find to participate. This started with volunteering for events during the 2012 presidential election and then moving into a DACH leadership role in 2022.
