Studopolis: "Road to 2024: USA, Deutschland und die Wahl"
Studopolis, a political forum for young people and university students, will be hosting the event "Road to 2024: USA, Deutschland und die Wahl" on April 15th, 2024 in Hamburg. Among other things, the event will feature a podium discussion and debate that will be joined by our chapter Communications Coordinator Candice Newton.
The evening will begin with a talk by Julius van de Laar, a political strategist and consultant who worked for the Obama campaign, titled "The Race to The White House: Von der Taktik bis zum Triumph". His talk will be followed by Q&A.
The main event will be a 45 minute podium discussion, followed by 45 minutes of questions to the panel from the audience. Candice Newton will be on the stage together with a representative from Republicans Overseas, as well as participants from media and politics.
The currently planned schedule for the evening is:
- 5 PM: Doors open
- 6 PM: Welcome
- 6:10 to 7:10 PM: Julius van de Laar "The Race to The White House: Von der Taktik bis zum Triumph"
- 30 minutes talk
- 20 minutes Q&A
- 7:30 to 9 PM: Debate -- 45 minutes podium discussion and 45 minutes questions from the public. The participants are:

- Elmar Theveßen, head of the ZDF studio in Washington, D.C.
- Julius van de Laar
- Dr. George Weinberg, Worldwide Advisor Republicans Overseas and Executive Director of Republicans Overseas Germany
- 9 PM: Closing remarks
- Open end: Bar and conversation
The event is open to the public. Join us for what promises to be a fascinating evening, and lend your moral support as we share our Democratic values and winning electoral strategy.
