THE LüBECK PRECINCT INVITES YOU TO A HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE ON DECEMBER 16—
JOIN US FOR A HOLIDAY GET-TOGETHER AND POLITICAL DISCUSSION SESSION
The Lübeck Precinct cordially invites all Democrats Abroad Members and guests to an afternoon coffee and political discussion followed by a visit to the medieval Advent Market. We know how hard it is for members living outside of Hamburg, especially points further north to attend events in the city, so this meeting will take place in the beautiful town of Lübeck. Hamburgian members are encouraged to attend as well in order to strengthen the connection to the precincts whose potential might otherwise remain untapped.
Besides enjoying home-baked cookies, we will talk about the upcoming AGM, voting rights, and net neutrality. We would like to involve you in planning for the Democrats Abroad Germany General Meeting (AGM) to be held in Hamburg February 23-25, 2018 where the main focus will be on refining get out the vote strategies for the Mid-term elections in November. Our brainstorming in Lübeck will revolve around questions such as: Where are the Democrats one year after the election? What do we stand for, and what are the beliefs that define us as a party? How to better communicate this? Suggestions for campaign slogans? How to learn to talk to the opposition and to reach out to disaffected non-voters? Questions about voting rights and how to vote from abroad will also be answered. We will show you how to contact your representative regarding the preservation of net neutrality.
Please bring your ideas and your friends and join us afterward to continue the discussion over a Glühwein at the nearby historic Christmas Market in the Marienkirchenhof.
