Join Democrats Abroad Saxony at Leipzig's Christopher Street Day (CSD) as we celebrate Pride, stand in solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community, and connect with Americans abroad.
We'll have a Democrats Abroad table on Augustusplatz where we'll meet Americans (and Germans with American friends and family), support our Get Out the Vote efforts, and hand out Pride-themed DA swag. It's a great opportunity to share our values, meet new people, strengthen civic engagement among Americans living in Germany. Best of all, it’s a ton of fun!
We need your help! Participating in CSD is one of our chapter's biggest outreach events of the year, and we're looking for volunteers to staff our table in two-hour shifts. Whether you can volunteer for one shift or several, we'd love to have you. Sign up here: https://doodle.com/group-poll/participate/epo1nNNd/vote.
See below for the location of our table on Augustusplatz. The location is circled in light blue, with a light blue arrow pointing to our stand.
We'll also join the CSD demonstration march at 1:00pm in support of equality, human rights, and democracy. If you'd like to march with Democrats Abroad, please meet us promptly at 12:45pm on the steps of the Opernhaus at Augustusplatz.
You're encouraged to bring Democrats Abroad and Pride signs or flags to the march. We'd love to feature your creative signs in our monthly newsletter or on DA Germany's Instagram page, so have fun and get creative!
Whether you volunteer, march, or simply stop by to say hello, we hope you'll join us for this exciting day of community, visibility, and civic engagement.
