First Organizing Meeting for the Oct 18 Protest

On Saturday, October 18, DA Barcelona will take part in the
No Tyrants: International Day of Protest

However, this protest will only be possible if enough volunteers step up to help make it happen.

To kick things off, we’re holding our first organizing meeting on Monday, September 15, from 7–8pm (online).

If you’ve been looking for a way to take action and make your voice heard, this is it.
Together, we will make a difference.

If you can’t attend the call, you can still volunteer by contacting us via email or on Signal.
And, if you are not available on the day of the protest, there are plenty of ways to chip in ahead of time.

How You Can Help
At the meeting, you’ll learn more about how to get involved and sign up for a team. Here are some possible roles:

Promotion – social media, posters, flyers, emails
Speakers & Performers – MC, speakers, music, poetry
Media – coordinate press & coverage
Signs – design and create protest signs
Marshals – help with crowd coordination, safety, and de-escalation (need ~20)
Tech Lead – sound system setup & backup
Day-of Support – setup, transport materials, banners, info tables, stage area
Greeters – welcome attendees, hand out chants, promote DA, share QR codes
Photographers & Videographers – document the protest
After-Event – transport, organize media, post highlights, send thank-yous, debrief
