Meeting for Volunteers for the Oct 18 Protest
📅 Thursday, October 9 | ⏰ 7:30–8:30pm | 💻 Virtual
On Saturday, October 18, DA Barcelona will take part in the
NO TYRANTS: Global Day of Defiance Protest
- This protest will only be possible if enough volunteers step up to help make it happen. Take action, make your voice heard - together we will make a difference.

- If you can’t attend the call, you can still volunteer by contacting us via email or on Signal.
- And, if you are not available on the day of the protest, there are still so many ways to chip in ahead of time.
At this meeting, protest organizers and team leaders will share updates and let us know what support is still needed.
How You Can Help
There are countless ways to get involved! You’ll have the chance to sign up for different roles, such as:
* Marshals – help with crowd coordination, safety, and de-escalation (need ~20)
* Greeters – welcome attendees, distribute handouts with chants & QR codes and promote DA
* Speakers & Performers – MC, speakers, music, poetry, lead chants, help plan music playlist
* Donate/Lend materials - we need a stool or stand for the speaker (sound system)
* Day-of Support – setup, transport materials, hold banners
* Photographers & Videographers – document the protest
* After-Event – transport, organize media, post highlights
* Promotion – social media, posters, flyers, emails
