Global Action in Hamburg: No Kings, No Tyrants Day Protest on June 14
Join DA Hamburg and Northern Germany on June 14th, 2025, as we stand up for democracy and join the global No Kings/No Tyrants protest movement!
The Trump administration will be throwing a military parade (estimated at $90 million) for Donald Trump's birthday. In protest, Democrats around the world are getting together to show up and demonstrate what we believe in - that democracy matters and the United States does not belong to a wannabe king.
The “birthday” of the US consulate in Hamburg is also June 17. It was established in 1790 under George Washington. There are plans to close the consulate in Hamburg because it is “too expensive” to run. How does it make sense that we are claiming “fiscal responsibility” by cutting programs that ensure our security at home and abroad while having a lavish military parade that is more expensive than running several of these consulates?
