Less than 100 days until the mid-term elections. 

Join DA Strasbourg as we look back in history and then discuss what we can do to impact the elections and help shape our future. 

DAS welcomes guest speaker, author Monica Granlove, as she shares the experiences of her own grandparents and her husband’s, who navigated life in a deeply challenging period of history – one perhaps not so different from what is unfolding today.

Monica discovered her calling as a storyteller after three decades in the corporate world. In her talks, Ms. Granlove invites audiences into lively, reflective conversations about how the lessons of history can illuminate our present moment. She is convinced that looking closely at the past deepens our appreciation of what we share as human beings – and helps us choose more wisely for the future, not least when we cast our votes.

Her first novel, The Electrician and the Seamstress, draws on the real-life story of her own grandparents. Its sequel, The Spy and the Homemaker, is likewise rooted in a true story – this time that of her husband's grandparents.
