Ballot Deadline This Week

If you vote in Alabama, Hawaii, Massachusetts, West Virginia, Missouri, New Jersey, D.C., or New Mexico, you must request your ballot today or in the next few days.

Your ballot request deadlines:

  • Tuesday, October 27: Alabama, Hawaii, Massachusetts
  • Wednesday, October 28: West Virginia
  • Friday, October 30: Missouri, New Jersey
  • Saturday, October 31: D.C., New Mexico

👉 Request your ballot today at VoteFromAbroad.org.

Ask for your ballot to be sent to you by email. It takes a few minutes, and it’s the fastest way to get a ballot in your hands.

Already requested your ballot?

If you requested it by postal mail and it hasn’t arrived yet, please submit a new request today and select email delivery instead. Mail from the U.S. is slow. Email is a far more reliable option for getting your ballot in hand.

Then send it back by email or upload, not by postal mail.

Your state lets you return your voted ballot by email or through an online upload portal. Please don’t send it back by postal mail. It will not arrive in time to be counted.

Your game plan:

  1. Request your ballot today at VoteFromAbroad.org and choose email delivery.
  2. Print it, fill it out, and sign it the day it arrives.
  3. Scan it (help below if you don’t have a scanner).
  4. Email it or upload it to your state’s portal, following the instructions that come with your ballot.
  5. Confirm it arrived. Check with your election office or your state’s ballot tracker.
