March is Women's History Month. We will discuss African Women Entrepreneurs: Green Energy Innovators in our March Climate Cafe. Tracy Dolan will be our guest to discuss the pivotal role women entrepreneurs in Africa play in the green energy transition.
About the Speaker:

Tracy Dolan has over 20 years of management experience in sustainable development and social inclusion. She is a Senior Manager in KPMG’s International Development Advisory Services (IDAS) practice, where her recent clients have included the Global Environment Facility, Green Climate Fund, Global Green Growth Institute, UNOPS, and the Nordic Development Fund. During 2018-2022 she was Head of Knowledge for EEP Africa, a multi-donor financing facility for clean energy companies in Sub-Saharan Africa. Earlier in her career, Tracy worked for USAID, the Women’s Development and Environment Organization (WEDO), the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, and several other international NGOs and foundations. She has participated in UN conferences on gender, environment, and financing for development and has been a speaker at events on gender lens investing and creating opportunities for youth and marginalized communities. Tracy is a former member of DA Finland’s executive committee and currently serves on the board of Lyra in Africa, an NGO supporting girls’ education and entrepreneurship in Tanzania. |
