Its published 2026 tariff lists international registered letters, and from October 1, 2026, an international registered letter starts at €9.70, although the exact price can depend on the format/weight. Latvijas Pasts currently has a restriction on parcels to the U.S., but that restriction does NOT apply to letters/documents.

Its current notice says that small parcels and parcels to the U.S. were temporarily suspended, but letter-post items, including document shipments, are not affected.

Riga 10 post office is one central Riga option, at Elizabetes iela 41–43.

Origo pasta nodaļa at Stacijas laukums 2 is another convenient central location.

Place your ballots in postage paid return envelopes, or in envelopes with sufficient domestic U.S. postage, and address them to the relevant local election officials. Voters are encouraged to drop off their ballots with the guards at the main entrance gate of the U.S. Embassy Nicosia, Monday through Friday between 8:00 and 4:00 p.m.

From 2024: Some states allow you to return your completed ballot electronically and others do not.  If your state requires you to return paper voting forms or ballots to local election officials, you may return your FPCA or ballot to your local election officials via international mail or professional courier service at your own expense or you may return your U.S. postage-paid ballot to the U.S. Embassy at least two weeks before Election Day. Please call the Embassy to find out if they are accepting ballots in 2026.

You can drop off your FPCA to U.S. Embassy Yerevan any workday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to be returned to your local election officials free of charge, or you can mail it directly at your own expense.

Once your ballot arrives, complete it without delay.  Once you have completed your ballot, you can return it to your local election officials free of charge by dropping it off at the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate or mail it directly at your own expense.  Transit time to the United States can take up to 21 days.
