How to Fax Your California Ballot Without a Fax Machine
California voters are allowed to return their ballots by fax. Ensure your ballot arrives on time!!
Your FAXED ballot must arrive by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day!
If you decide to fax your voted ballot, you must also fax the "Oath of Voter" form your county provided to you. Print out your ballot and Oath as US letter-sized to ensure the information all fits on the fax sheet printout.
It’s easy to return your voted ballot by fax, even if you don't have access to a fax machine.
Option 1: You can use an EMAIL to FAX APP - they're simple and free or very low-cost. Here are some reliable fax services:

HelloFax allows you to send up to 5 pages for free.

FAX.PLUS allows you to send up 10 pages for free.
- Other providers include FaxZero and eFax.
Option 2: You can use a CELLPHONE FAX APP.
Search for “fax app for Android/iPhone” on application platforms like Apple’s App Store, Google Play Store, Galaxy Store, etc.
There are lots to choose from. The best-know are probably CocoFax, RingCentral, and GeniusFax.
