Communication Report |
Shashanda |
Shashanda reported on communication efforts for 2024. DACB transitioned to a public Facebook page for information and events in 2024. The focus on communication efforts now has been shifted to efforts we can take. She will be attempting to make close to daily posts on ways we can improve our wellness, as well as what individual actions we can do. She will continue to share information on the DA web page and in email blasts, as needed. There will be a lot happening in the upcoming year.
DACB will continue to be present on the Banderas News, Vallarta Mirror, Out and About in PV and the PVEverything.com directory. |

GOTV Report |
Clint |
In 2024, 467 members in DACB used Vote From Abroad to request their ballots, while 153 sought help at voter events in Puerto Vallarta and an additional 20 in Bucerias. DACB volunteers assisted voter efforts on zoom, email and on the callhub phone line.
The voter return party helped 30 people send their ballots to the Embassy through DHL, sharing the $11 cost between them. Note that one of these ballots was rejected in Texas because the voter ID wasn’t on the ballot. Just a note to all of us that we need to be vigilant in checking our ballots and assisting each other. Voter suppression efforts will only be increasing for upcoming elections. |
