Make Good Trouble

“Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble.” - John Lewis

On July 17th, Democrats Abroad joins U.S. citizens across the globe to honor the legacy of Congressman John Lewis with a day where Good Trouble Lives On.

Good Trouble Lives On is an international day of nonviolent action to respond to the attacks posed on our civil and human rights by the Trump administration and to remind them that in the United States, the power lies with the people.

From protests and rallies to phone banking and resistance roundtables, our members are rising up to defend democracy and confront the Trump administration’s growing assault on civil and human rights. We’re taking action against voter suppression, the criminalization of protest, and every effort to silence the will of the people.

This day is a reminder that, as John Lewis taught us, getting in “good trouble” is our responsibility. Find an event near you and join in!
