The Event - A 'progressive party' that starts in Athens!
6:15 PM - Our free bus leaves from Doukissis Plakentias Metro Station
7:00 PM - Bus and cars rendezvous in the parking lot of the Tomb of the Athenians at Marathon This classic battle for Athenian freedom in 490 BC helped inspire America's own independence struggle. We'll say a few words before driving the 8 minutes to our party destination at the beach.
7:30 PM - Enjoy a traditional beach party Café Me Ammo, on the beach at Nea Makri Me Ammo has a fine public beach, green grass, sand, and a shower. So, come 'beach casual.' Bring swimming gear if you want. We’ll have our reserved space to eat, drink, and talk. Top it off with the Declaration of Independence, US and Greek national anthems, and eco-friendly light sparklers!
