Dear fellow American citizens,
Vote from Abroad is here to help you navigate the process of requesting and returning your ballots while you’re living abroad. Your voice matters, and we want to help you make it heard!
If you already requested your absentee ballot to be sent to you by email, it should have arrived in your inbox (or junk mail folder) by September 21. If it hasn’t arrived, or you haven't requested your ballot yet, don’t wait any longer!
Head over to www.votefromabroad.org to generate your official ballot request postcard (FPCA). Have a US ID and your US voting address handy. Make sure you request that your ballot be sent to you by email.
Some states let you send back your completed ballot online. If you must mail it back, don’t wait too long.
The plain white business envelopes you find in Greece are likely to be DL+ size rather than U.S. #10. You can use them for both your security envelope (if you fold your ballot in thirds) and for the outer mailing envelope. It will cost about €2.50 mailed normally through the Greek post office.
The larger size B5 envelopes are likely to be a better match for the ballot return pdf that comes with your ballot. Set your paper size to B5 (JIS) and print full size. Then put the DL+ white security envelope inside with your ballot declaration. This will cost about €4.00 to mail.
If you’ll still be in Greece for November 5 election day, feel free to call Brady Kiesling of Democrats Abroad Greece at +30 6946578290. There’s also 24-hour help available at [email protected] or go to https://www.votefromabroad.org/voter-support/ for one of our dedicated voter assistance office hours via Zoom.
