Election of officers for the coming two-year term was the principal order of business for the Democrats Abroad Greece 2023 Annual General Meeting on January 18. Members attended the main meeting at Athens Hard Rock Café, while Thessaloniki gathered in homier surroundings, and others attended online.
Reports were delivered by the outgoing country chair, Stacey Papaioannou, as well as by chairs of the communications, GOTV, and ‘Kafenion’ committees. The annual Treasurer’s report was approved.
Dems Abroad Executive Director Jarryd Rauch joined in at the Athens venue. Rauch spoke to members about the plans DA is making to help Democrats vote from abroad with greater ease. During his 3-day stay in Greece, he joined DA leaders to visit the US Embassy in Athens and Thessaloniki Consulate.
