Wave24: Post Your Memes!

Tell the world what you think!

We're inviting you, our members, to participate in our Wave 2024 social media campaign. There are lots of ways to participate: create your own memes or borrow some of ours, share those that you like, or even make your own video. And tell the world that this year's election matters and Your Vote Matters!

Would you like to give it a try?

We’ve got several ways anyone can use, from super-easy to a little harder.

Borrow a graphic (aka image, picture, photo, drawing, cartoon, rorshach).

    1. Find one you like on social media, on a web page or in your inbox.
    2. Share it. If you frequent Facebook or Instagram, you know how to do that, right?
    3. OR, copy one. Right-click on the image, select ‘copy,’ then ‘paste’ it in a post or email.

Choose one you like from DAGR’s ‘collections’ on our Google drive. Here are the links:

    1. Vote from Here - Locations around Greece
    2. Register & Vote Information (VFA logos) Coming soon!
    3. VoteFromAbroad – VFA Card in Greek locations (samples)
    4. Orange Meanies (don’t use these in official DA spaces; save for friends who loathe Trump) [link] Also coming soon.

Take a phone-cam ‘Greek-ie,’ that is, an iconic Greek view behind the VoteFromAbroad card.

    1. Here’s the card image to print and hold up.
    2. Here are a few samples our Press Coordinator put together.
    3. Just hold up the card and snap a selfie. Share.

Pets rule in 2024! Cat Ladies and Doggone Irritations

    1. Take a photo of your pet. Post it with a short, clever message.
    2. On social media, you can add ‘intro text.’
    3. If you use Word ‘drawing tools,’ Canva, Paint or a fancier graphics app, you can put it all on one image.
    4. Check Barbara Avlitis’ Pet Poster samples here.

Video ‘shorts’! Can you edit a 30-60 second video?

    1. Think about a clever script.
    2. Video yourself w/Zoom or other app. Or have a friend shoot it.
    3. Edit it ‘clean’ as our At-Large Rep Gina did for her mermaid.
    4. Upload to your personal page.
    5. Let us know it’s there, so we can pick it up and share!

Have fun! It’s all in a good cause … promoting people-centered, species-saving, progressive policies for November’s US elections and the future of the planet!
