Are you being asked to sign in using Face Recognition and/or Passkey? These apps can make login faster, without having to remember passwords. However, they can also be abused. War Chest

Democrats are building their war chests for 2026, so we’re all getting a lot of emails. In previous editions, we described how to spot a fake sender’s email address. There are several ways to check addresses - using an Email Validator site, like ClarityCheck may be your easiest option. BitLyft has an incredibly useful and descriptive guide to how to avoid online scams.

How to Unsubscribe to an email safely

One trick scammers use is to buy your email from a list. To unsubscribe, they ask you to put in your email address. Do not do this - you should never unsubscribe to something you never subscribed to. Mark it as SPAM, and delete.

Junk Mail!

Protect yourself by recognizing the signs of a scam. Remember: 

  • Scammerspretend to be from an agency or organization you know to gain your trust.
  • Scammers say there is a problem or a prize.
  • Scammerspressureyou to act immediately.
  • Scammers tell you to pay in a specific way.

Delete and block any message that tells you to "Click Here!" or your account will be deleted. 

Some candidates and organizations use language like “Donate $5 today and it will be triple-matched,” “Warning: Payment incomplete,” or “We need 5,238 donors from YOUR zip code.”
