Democrats Abroad Austria is happy to be involved in the 21st annual Regenbogenparade in Vienna. This year’s parade begins at 3 pm at the Sigmund-Freud-Park (Schottengasse), where from 10 am the warm-up takes place at the Pride Park and gets moving in the direction of traffic. The route passes the Börse (the stock exchange), Franz-Josefs-Kai, Schwedenplatz, Urania, Stubenring, the Opera, the Parliament and the University, before returning to Sigmund-Freud-Park. Here the final rally – the so-called Celebration – will take place, including speeches as well as national and international live acts.

To welcome some guests that we will have in from the U.S., this month we have decided to go to a "Heuriger " in Vienna's 19th district called Feuerwehrwagner. It has lovely traditional Austrian cuisine and is surrounded by vineyards. To make it more traditional, we encourage all coming to dress in their "Tracht," or Austrian original costume. So dig out your Lederhosen & Dirndls & we'll see you there!
Date: Thursday, June 23rd
Time: 7 pm
Place: Feuerwehrwagner, Grinzinger Straße 53, 1190 Wien
