Meet the 2024 Americas Region Delegate and DNC Candidates

We have created an event that will take place on Saturday, May 25th at 4pm EDT via Webex for Americas Region electors to get to know the candidates. It is billed as “Meet the 2024 Americas Region Delegate and DNC Candidates,” Saturday, May 25th, at 4pm EDT (2pm Mexico City), via Webex. Login information available on RSVP.

Format: Delegate candidates will be allowed 55 seconds each to introduce themselves, state what they have done for their DA country committee, and why they would make a good representative of DA at the Democratic National Convention. Introductions will be followed by a short question and answer period. DNC candidates will be allowed 60 seconds to introduce themselves, share their experience serving with DA, and present why and how their election to the DNC will advance DA interests on the Democratic National Committee. After the three candidates have presented themselves, a short question and answer period will follow. We aim to complete the full program in two hours.

The Americas Region has 18 candidates running for two delegate positions from the region who will form part of Democrats Abroad’s 22-person delegation to the Democratic National Convention that will take place in Chicago August 19-22, 2024. Also, three candidates are running for one position on the Democratic National Committee from our region. DNC members serve a four-year term that will begin upon the closing of the Chicago convention.
