After its world premiere at the 63rd Festival dei Popoli, from 10 May “Stonebreakers” returns to La Compagnia, the documentary that recounts the recent battle over the demolition of colonial statues in the United States.
United States, 2020: In the midst of the Black Lives Matter riot and presidential election, the battle over historic landmarks erupts. A cultural conflict that overwhelms statues of Columbus, confederates and founding fathers, and questions the mythical American narrative.
