Virtual Event

Out of ICE with Jenn Budd - The People’s Briefing Series

Join us on March 12 at 2 pm ET / 7 pm CET for a powerful conversation with Jenn Budd, former Senior Border Patrol Agent turned immigration rights activist and author of Against the Wall: My Journey from Border Patrol Agent to Immigration Rights Activist. This virtual event will take place on Zoom.

Budd’s memoir offers an unflinching look inside the U.S. Border Patrol—an institution she once served and later challenged after witnessing systemic abuses, corruption, and the human cost of deterrence‑based border policy. Her journey from enforcement to advocacy sheds light on the inner workings of border policing and the broader immigration enforcement system that includes today’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

As debates intensify around ICE’s role, violence, detention practices, and the expansion of interior enforcement, Budd’s story provides essential context. Her firsthand experience helps illuminate how policies at the border shape—and often mirror—the practices used by ICE across the country, from surveillance and raids to detention conditions and the treatment of asylum seekers.

The event will be recorded.
