Elections in the South this fall will help determine the course of the United States for years to come!
When the Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights Act in Louisiana v. Callais, it made one thing clear: the fight for democracy in the South isn't over. It has moved to the ballot box. Southern Democrats are answering the call, running strong campaigns in races the polls say are winnable.
But polls aren't votes.
That's where Democrats Abroad comes in. In tight races, we are the margin of victory. Our South Rising Series showcases the candidates leading this fight, because taking back our democracy starts with showing up for the people brave enough to run.
