What the Right Gets Wrong About Disabilities - A Saving Our Democracy Series Event

The Global Disability Caucus invites you to a 90-minute Zoom featuring a conversation with Representative Debbie Dingell of Michigan’s 6th Congressional District, sponsor (with Senator Bob Casey) of the Better Care, Better Jobs Act, and other important legislation addressing the crisis in our Care Economy including the Veteran’s Emergency Care Reimbursement Act, the PACE Expanded Act, the Dr. Lorna Breen Health Care Provider Protection Act and the HCBS Access Act.
Congresswoman Dingell will address Care Economy issues with particular focus on the differences between Republican and Democratic views and actions on behalf of people with disabilities, seniors, and veterans and on what’s at stake should Republicans prevail in November.
Michigan is a key battleground state. We’ll also have an opportunity to hear about issues and strategies we’ll be able to reflect in our efforts to win over Michigan voters.
This event is being Co-Sponsored by the Global Senior Caucus, Veterans & Military Families Caucus, Global Progressive Caucus, Medicare Portability Task Force, Black Caucus, ECCC, Global Women’s Caucus, and, of course, the Michigan State Team.
RSVP today! If you have questions, contact [email protected].
Please pass this information on to your friends and fellow volunteers and mark your calendars for a special event with a special Michigander who will not back down in the fight for democracy and human rights.
