The Abroad Advantage
9 million U.S. citizens live outside the U.S., and hundreds of thousands of them vote in your state. They’re among the bluest, most reliable voters anywhere — and they can and do make the difference in close races in your state.
Get the word out to your voters abroad – they have different deadlines, ballot receipt and return rules, and face many hoops to jump through to get their vote counted. Create one easy-to-find reference on your website to help your voters abroad register to vote, request their overseas ballot, understand the deadlines, and get voter assistance.

💡 Voters Abroad vs. Absentee Voters
*The Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act ("UOCAVA") endows voters abroad, both civilian and military, extra time to receive and vote their ballot, and in some states, even an extended ballot return deadline.
In most states, voters abroad must request their ballot every year in order to receive one. Our Vote From Abroad website walks voters through each step of filling out their Federal Post Card Application with specific steps and directions for each state.
When Democrats ask for their vote, we help them cast it. Our dedicated volunteers from across the globe have been helping Democrats vote from abroad for more than 25 years.
