Come Join Us for Our Next TACO Tuesday on September 1st

Come join us at the upcoming TACO Tuesday at the King Arthur Pub on the first Tuesday of the month. We'll discuss the results of the recent primaries, share information that we are receiving from home, and support one another in these tumultuous times. We'll also talk about serious issues that we are keeping our eye on and the stirrings of positive energy that give us Hope.

First and foremost, though: Protect your vote Now!  Register to Vote as an overseas voter.

     

We are keeping our eyes on:

• The endless war in Iran: We’ve heard of the miserable lives of US Navy sailors who have been deployed for over 9 months, with the last port call occurring in December. When asked, President Bonespurs proclaimed it had lasted "not nearly long enough".  He has also ordered Navy ships to be reconfigured to make them more aesthetic - Another giant waste of taxpayer money.
• Trump's "Get out of Jail for a (big) fee" program continues to rake in money for himself while pardoning criminals of financial crimes.
• Affordability is at the top of people’s minds, but the treasury secretary and other administration officials keep insisting there’s no problem and that prices will be falling "soon". 
• We still want to know where are the Epstein files????

But we are seeing signs of Hope:

• The independent press and some legacy press are standing up to Trump and becoming increasingly outspoken. The First Amendment is still alive. 
• President Trump’s Approval Rating is still tanking..
• Former MAGA voters are beginning to jump ship. Just ask the two husbands whose immigrant spouses were recently arrested, shackled and locked up while traveling through airports.
• Democrats and independents are making inroads in the polls, even in red states, and more progressives are winning in primaries.

We'll discuss what we can do between now and the election so that in November we can say: "We had the best chance in 30 or 40 years, we took it, and we won"!
