We celebrated Labor Day!
Under the late-summer leaves on the Saturday before Labor Day, about thirty of us gathered. We shared updates, reflected on where we’ve come from, and talked about what’s ahead. Most of all, we enjoyed reconnecting. Looking forward to seeing everyone again soon!
September Get-Together – Sep. 19
Bring your ideas on how we can rebuild this democracy.
We’ve seen encouraging signs—like in Texas, where Trump’s gerrymandering efforts were
struck down, and in Virginia, where Democrat James Walkinshaw decisively won a special
election 75% to 25%. Let’s hope more states follow suit and become heroes in the fight to
protect our democratic values.

Munich City Tour before Oktoberfest – Oct. 26
Will you be in Munich for our Oktoberfest weekend? Or, will you not be joining us on
Saturday, but are free on Friday afternoon?
Join us for a walking tour of a little history of historic parts of Munich! One of our very own DA Germany members has offered to organize a 90- minute tour of the historical highlights of the Old-Town Munich (Altstadt). In case of rain, an indoor option will be offered.

Oktoberfest Friday Dinner – Oct 26
Our regular meeting space, Zunfthaus, has generously reserved a private room for us—giving you plenty of space to connect with fellow Democrats Abroad members some of whom have traveled a long way some who are locals.
🍺 Your first beverage is on us! After that, feel free to order from their full menu and pay for whatever you enjoy.

Democrats Abroad Oktoberfest Extravaganza – Sep. 27
Democrats Abroad Oktoberfest Extravaganza, happening Saturday, September 27! While we help host this event, it is an official Democrats Abroad Germany event and a great opportunity to meet Democrats from around Germany and further.
Date: Saturday, September 27, 2025, 10 AM– 2:30 PM Venue: Festhalle Schottenhamel, Gallery upstairs
Tickets: €115 - includes a reserved seat, roasted half-chicken (veg option available), 2 liters of Spaten beer, plus a coupon for extras.
Student Price: €85 - Same amenities as the above ticket.

Bring your haunted thoughts to this Get-Together. Let’s air out the anxiety—and welcome in HOPE.
Together, we’ll share the encouraging signs of democracy re-emerging and celebrate the bold, creative antics of activists keeping its heartbeat alive.
