As an Oregon voter, Andrew Tucker is a committed leader within the Democratic Party whose experience abroad has greatly shaped his role in Democrats Abroad. As a current resident of Haarlem, The Netherlands he was inspired to run as a DNC Delegate for DA to represent the unique challenges Americans face overseas, particularly in regards to what he views as types of voter disenfranchisement.

“Many people don’t know what Americans living abroad have to deal with just to simply exercise our right to vote. [As a delegate] I will make these issues front and center and unforgettable. I will also, of course, support the Democratic values that represent our party [...] We need someone who upholds these ideals, someone we can trust, someone with a proven track record [to serve as President of the United States].”

Tucker is honored to have the opportunity to take part in such a historic political process by attending the DNC and excited to meet so many like-minded people. He is also looking forward to nominating Vice President Kamala Harris and meeting others within the DA delegation.

To get out the vote and bolster support for Harris, Tucker will continue assisting members with voter registration, ballot requests and ballot returns. He will also partake in his local county committee’s door-knocking campaign.
