Born in Washington DC, Marini Walker has long been motivated to participate in the democratic process and is now more driven than ever to help ensure the United States elects the most suitable candidate. For this reason, she is honored to have the opportunity to attend the Democratic National Convention as a Delegate for Democrats Abroad.
“The Convention allows people like myself who are deeply invested in civic duty to represent citizens overseas in the selection of our presidential nominee along with using our bullhorn to share the impact and challenges that Americans abroad deal with.”
Walker, who currently lives in London, United Kingdom is most excited about introducing DA to DNC members that are unfamiliar with the organization’s work. Additionally, she is looking forward to supporting a pipeline of new Democratic talent for upcoming elections.
To get out the vote and grow support for presumptive nominee Kamala Harris, Walker is organizing fundraisers for DA. She will also work to motivate existing DA members as well as initiate contact with other Americans living abroad that may not understand their right to vote while living outside the country.
