Martha McDevitt-Pugh is the International Chair of Democrats Abroad, the Democratic state party for the seven million Americans who live abroad, and chair of the 2024 Democrats Abroad delegation to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.

Martha served two terms as Chair of Democrats Abroad Netherlands (2011-2015) and has represented Democrats Abroad at the DNC Representative since 2016. She served as a pledged delegate for President Obama at the 2012 Democratic National Convention.

Martha serves on the board of the DNC LGBTQ Caucus and is the founding Chair of the Democrats Abroad LGBTQ+ Caucus. In 2001, she and her wife Lin were among the first same-sex couples in the world to legally marry. Their advocacy for immigration rights for same-sex couples led Martha to join Democrats Abroad as a volunteer and elected leader.

Martha is a registered voter in Alameda County, educated at the University of California at Davis and with a B.A. from Hampshire College.
