In response to the tragic events in Charlottesville and the subsequent speech by the President in Phoenix, Democrats Abroad in Lyon, Strasbourg and Toulouse came together on Monday, Aug 28th, on the anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s 1963 March on Washington to read aloud the words of his I Have A Dream speech--54 years to the day that he spoke them.

In Strasbourg Democrats met outside the American Consulate.  In Toulouse we met in Compans-Caffarelli Park next to the Phoenix Statue. And in Lyon we met at the bust of Martin Luther King commemorating his visit and speech in our city in 1966.
